Clint Mulder, born on June 2, 1975, was raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Sault Ste. Marie. At the age of 13 he started to whittle figures from firewood. Within a year he was winning Best of Show awards in State high school fine arts competitions. By the time he graduated from high school, Clint had been an exhibitor at the world famous C. M. Russell Art Show and Auction in Great Falls, Montana. Upon graduation, Clint decided to focus on college and pursuing marriage with his high school sweetheart. Carving was put on the "back burner" for about five years. During this time, Clint only had time to work on and complete two carvings. Now he is working a job that allows him an opportunity to continue his work as an artist. Clint and his family (wife/high school sweetheart: Spring, daughters: Olivia and Lauren, and son: Gerrit) once again live in the Sault Ste. Marie area.
