"Blackcapped Solitude" Caribou antler with a beech base, 14” high x 7” wide x 4” deep. This solo chickadee is perched on a branch with a few more branches surrounding him. The flow and colors of this carving make it very appealing to the senses. The dark “bark” of the antler was stripped away exposing the beautiful colors that were beneath. All colors are natural except the chickadee’s black cap and beak, which was burned to make it dark.
